November 2008. As a special treat to all our American guests and friends plus all other
interested parties, the hotel created a "Big Screen Situation Room" in the Function
Room to cover the U.S. Elections. Large LCD TV displays were strategically
placed around the room monitoring several TV channels. In addition, two more
TVs were located in the outdoor assembly area for those requiring a quite smoke whilst discussing
the proceedings. Light meals, snacks and drinks were served throughout
the event. The function was very well received.
Although the hotel was strictly neutral in this event, we extend our congratulations to
President-Elect Obama.
